At Plainville High School, Ryan was in the top third of his class while being a two-sport athlete in swimming and baseball, and he was also the girls swim team manager. After graduation from Plainville High School, Ryan started at CT State Tunxis in August of 2023 and graduated in May of 2025 with an associate’s degree in arts. Berner Pool located at Norton Park in Plainville Connecticut.

While Ryan was at Plainville High School, he earned a number of accolades during his four years there. Ryan didn’t have the best start in high school like most kids because they all had to adapt to the new way the world would be with COVID-19. Once COVID-19 got tamed and schools were somewhat going back to normal, that’s when Ryan started to thrive. In Ryan’s sophomore year in swimming, he earned the most improved swimmer award at his swim banquet at the end of the season. Before Ryan knew it baseball was done and so was sophomore year. Now Ryan was going to be a junior and have two new swim coaches. Ryan’s junior year of swimming ended up being his best year yet. He had his best times as well as earning his varsity letter and getting the Blue Devil All Heart Award. Ryan also competed in the state trials and finals for swimming in his junior year. Once baseball came around Ryan had to take it more seriously as he was a junior on JV, so he had to become a leader in which he did very well.

Going into his senior year Ryan started out by being a swim manager for the girls swim team in the fall before the boys started in the winter. Once the boys season started Ryan was named as one of the captains and had a lot of responsibilities to take on, which he had done very well with. Ryan again swam at state’s and was named Central Connecticut Conference All-Academic Team. But once baseball started for Ryan it opened his eyes to some great bonds and friendships. Ryan was one of the kids selected to go play baseball in Florida during April break. By doing this and through the season it expanded Ryan’s horizons. Ryan’s team ended up being one game short of making the playoffs, he was named Central Connecticut Conference All-Academic Team again in the spring. Other achievements that Ryan earned were Super Senior, Justin C. Hinckley Memorial Scholarship, Plainville Rotary Scholarship, Aruthur Hall Award (highest ranked business student), Blue Devil two sport athlete plaque, CIAC Award of Excellence (for exemplary display of sportsmanship, ethics, and integrity), Plainville Little League Scholarship, Mark Ciesielski Memorial Scholarship, and Plainville Athletic Backers Scholarship.

Ryan continued to CT State Tunxis where he finished his associates in two years and just statrted his studies at Central Conneticut State University, where he has joined the school's club baseball team. Ryan's work with th Plainville Recreation has increased dramatically., Two summers ago, he started off as as lifeguard and worked his way up to a lesson teacher, then an assistant director by the end of the summer. This past summer Ryan was promoted to the head director of the pool and loed it. Ryan also takes photos for his former high school sports during his free time. Ryan is now continuing hi studies to earn his bachlor's degree in media studies. After graduation, he plans to have a ob at ESPN or anothet sports company.
